Acrylic Painting Class

Come join Marilyn Secatch for her Introductory Acrylic Painting Class. Marilyn will teach you the basics of acrylics. Classes are held on Thursdays from 9:30am-11:30am for 6 weeks. Cost is $45. For updated class schedule please see the newsletter.

Learn Hong Kong Style Mah-Jongg

What is Mah-Jongg? It is easy, simple and fun! Mah Jongg is a game of skill, strategy, and calculation and involves a degree of chance. Mah-Jongg is similar to the Western game rummy. Join instructor Ray Lum on Thursdays at 12:30pm to learn how to play Chinese Mah-Jongg.

Scrabble

The mental concentration required to puzzle through different word options in Scrabble also puts the brain into a meditative state much like taking a class of yoga or meditating. Taking this time to deliberately relax and engage in some mental exercise is a great way to reduce stress and anxiety. Join our Scrabble group on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1:00pm.

Book Discussion

We have a wonderful book discussion group that meets on the 2nd Thursday of every month @10:00 A.M. Check the newsletter for the name of the book of the month.

Chess

Join Chess Champ Don Vandivier on Tuesdays at 12:45 PM. Don will help you learn how to play this great game of strategy.

Watercolor Class

Come join Joe Green as he walks you through the steps of making watercolor painting easy. He can teach anyone to paint. Watercolor classes are held on Tuesdays from 9:30-11:30 A.M. Cost is $30 for 4 weeks. For updated class information visit our newsletter.

Knitting Club

Join our knitting club every Thursdays from 8:00-11:30am. Come in and share our ideas, patterns, and projects. Please bring your own supplies. If you have yarn you are looking to donate, please consider our group!

Alzheimer's Support Group

The center has partnered with the Alzheimer's Association to offer a monthly support group.

 The group meets on the second Tuesday of every month from 6:00-8:00pm
